What is it?
The Verification and Validation Plan is used to confirm (i.e. verify and validate) that
the software product meets the user requirements.
Who uses it?
Technical Architect, Development Manager, Project Manager, IT Manager, Test Manager,
Documentation Manager, System Administrator.
When is it used?
The Verification Plan describes approaches and methods for integration verification,
qualification testing, and system verification. Verification Procedures involve step by
step instructions that implement the inspection, demonstration, testing, and analysis
required by the Verification Plan, such as equipment, calibration requirements, facility
requirements etc.

Verification: The process of evaluating a system or
component to determine whether the products of a given development phase satisfy the
conditions imposed at the start of that phase. [IEEE Std 610.12]
